Modern frame of beds have a classical design that is comfortable to sleep in also. Modern platform frame of beds are designed such that they offer ample space under the bed for storage space. Now, this extra space can be utilized to store unused luggage or have small drawers with wheels that can be dragged from under the bed when needed. These little drawers can be used to store extra stuff that is not required every day.
The most common variants of bed frames are wood made bed frames and metallic made. Both of these variants have different pros and cons however, before purchasing you need to consider the fact if you require a footboard or a headboard and if these can be attached properly with the new frame you have decided for purchasing. In most of the instances the headboard after adjusting with new frame imposes a slight difference in height adjustment.
Sometimes modern platform frame of beds can even have permanently fixed drawers that come with the bed. Some people prefer the kind with wheels for this means that the drawers can be pulled out and the space under the bed-cleaned periodically. Most people, especially those who keep moving often will go in for modern platform bed-frames to keep their space saving options open. Any kind of mattress will suit this frame of bed and your choice will depend on the frame of bed-size.
Choice of modern frames usually depends on the type of décor, size of bedroom, cost and such. Metal frames are the simplest and come with low wheels. They usually have them in king, queen or twin bed sizes. The frame can be raised at the edges to prevent the mattress from moving out of position. Metal frames can give an old world look especially if they are made from wrought iron. Aluminium is more lightweight and modern frames are likely to be made from aluminium rather than metal.
These space-saving devices could include a small bookshelf on the headboard, trundle style bed with small drawers with wheels that fit under the bed or even platform beds with completely covered base that will open out into convenient shelves. Now, homeowners with limited space can store linen, winter clothes, towels and such under the bed, thereby limiting the need for extra shelves in and around the bedroom. The extra space saved can be used to accommodate a comfortable chair for reading or a writing desk, vanity and such.
